The aim is to replace aging core components in satellite communication equipment currently deployed on naval vessels with cutting-edge technology. Genoco will be replacing the existing hardware with new TWTA units.
The upgrade became necessary as the current equipment reached the end of its operational lifespan. Genoco’s role in supplying critical components for the naval satellite communication system underscores its commitment to ensuring seamless project execution.
A Genoco spokesperson highlighted that this contract not only validates the company’s technical prowess and reliability but also opens doors for potential future contracts in the space and satellite sectors, particularly through its partnership with Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI).
“This contract signifies the beginning of a comprehensive overhaul of outdated military satellite communication equipment and reaffirms our technical expertise and project management capabilities,” the spokesperson stated. “As we enter a new era of space exploration and utilization, we anticipate this will mark the start of a significant growth phase for Genoco.”
