[Digital Daily, Reporter Cha Seong-woo] KT Millie’s Library, a digital reading platform, announced on the 10th its participation in the “Customized eBook Support” project led by the Ministry of National Defense.
The Customized eBook Support program is designed to foster personal growth and learning among active-duty service members through reading. It partially subsidizes the costs of e-book subscriptions, as well as the purchase of both electronic and print books (limited to educational materials). Service members can apply for this program through the “Jangbyeong e-eum” platform.
As part of this initiative, Millie’s Library is rolling out several activities. The platform will introduce a curated selection of books carefully chosen from various genres, including self-improvement, humanities, general knowledge, and literature. Furthermore, until the 28th, they’re running a promotional campaign where subscribers can enter a draw to win Naver Pay points or Yeogi Eottae gift vouchers with their subscription purchase.
Park Jung-hyun, Director of the Subscription Business Division at KT Millie’s Library, stated, “By participating in the Customized eBook Support project, Millie’s Library aims to deliver top-notch services that facilitate a convenient reading environment for active-duty personnel, enabling them to focus on self-improvement.” He added, “Beginning with this Defense Ministry-sponsored initiative, we plan to expand our B2G operations by providing reliable digital reading services in the future.”
