Sony Korea is exhibiting at KOBA 2026 — the International Broadcasting, Media, Audio & Lighting Expo — at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul through May 15. The company is showcasing new products and solutions aimed at broadcast and content production.

At its booth, Sony emphasizes live-production solutions that demonstrate the evolution of the \”Networked Live\” ecosystem. The display also includes new system cameras, newsroom production workflows and a hands-on full-frame camera shooting zone.
The centerpiece is the new HDC-R series of standard broadcast system cameras. Sony unveiled five models in South Korea for the first time — the HDC-5500R, HDC-5500RV, HDC-3500R, HDC-3500RV and HDC-3200R. Each model features a 2/3-inch, 3‑chip 4K CMOS image sensor and a global shutter. Sony has added 3D LUT support to help produce more cinematic footage at live events. The new models are expected to ship around November 2026.
In the news-production area, the PXW-Z300 handheld camcorder drew attention. It pairs a 1/2-inch 3CMOS Exmor R 4K sensor with Sony’s BIONZ XR engine. Sony says this is the first handheld camera to support video authenticity features; by leveraging the C2PA standard, it can help verify footage and counter generative-AI deepfakes and misinformation.
Sony is also showing PTZ auto-framing cameras — the BRC-AM7 (v3.0), SRG-A40 and SRG-A12 (v4.0). These models add AI auto-framing and support the OpenTrackIO protocol, expanding their use in sports broadcasts, education and corporate content production.
In the imaging demo zone, visitors can try cinema-line cameras such as the Alpha 7 V, Alpha 1 II, FX30, FX3, FX6 and FX7, along with G Master lenses like the SEL50150GM and SEL2870GM. Sony is running a daily lucky draw limited to 500 visitors and hosting seminars featuring writers Choi Jin-seong and Kim Hyun-su and cinematographers Park Jung-hoon and Park Ji-hoon.
