[Sports Today reporter Jeong Ye-won] Actress Park Ye-young has joined the cast of ‘Sold Out Again Today’.
SBS’s new Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘Sold Out Again Today’ pairs perfectionist farmer Matthew Lee (aka Mechuri, played by Ahn Hyo-seop) with Dam Ye-jin (played by Chae Won-bin), a home-shopping host obsessed with selling out. As their lives collide day and night, the series serves up a breezy, seasonal romance about modern-day hustlers racing to make every show a hit.
Park Ye-young will portray Eom Seong-mi, a top home-shopping producer who expertly manages the unpredictable variables of live broadcasts. Fiercely dedicated to her work, Seong-mi’s blunt, excitable manner sometimes earns the hosts’ ire, but she is also a steadfast friend who offers support and comfort to Ye-jin—one of the network’s leading hosts and a relentless workaholic. Park’s performance, navigating the tensions between work and friendship, promises strong chemistry and lively moments.
Park has demonstrated broad range across genres in projects such as tvN’s ‘Sejak, The Enchanted’, ‘Ask the Stars’, ‘Unknown Seoul’, and the film ‘Sister Yoojung’. In particular, her role as Kim Soo-yeon in ‘Unknown Seoul’—a prospective match for Yoo Mi-rae (Park Bo-young)—ranged from warm mentorship to the pain of workplace harassment, a performance that moved viewers and solidified her presence on screen.
Earlier this year, Park also confirmed a role in tvN’s upcoming office romance ‘I’ll Be at Work Tomorrow!’. With ‘Sold Out Again Today’ added to her schedule, she maintains a relentless acting pace that will please viewers. Audiences are watching to see how she reinvents her screen persona with this new role.
Meanwhile, ‘Sold Out Again Today,’ featuring Park Ye-young, premieres on the 22nd at 9 p.m.
