[Sports Today Reporter Lim Si-ryeong] Several select images from actor Kim Sung-chul’s recent photo shoot, which capture a relaxed, easygoing mood, were released.
On March 31, his agency Story J Company released multiple A-cut images from the April issue of Hin fashion magazine.
In the spread, Kim embodies the “Spring Fever” concept, evoking spring’s languid, mellow energy with a lyrical touch. In images taken in front of budding flowering trees, he gazes off into the distance, creating a quietly sentimental mood. In the black-and-white frames, his restrained expressions and poses deliver a natural, understated vibe.
In an interview after the shoot, he explained why he chose to return to Death Note. “Maybe it’s because I love the character L so much, but it never gets old — it’s always fun,” he said. “Even after the initial run and the encore performances, I thought I would feel satisfied, but oddly enough I still feel like it’s not enough and that I want to do more.” He added that he hopes more people will see the production and that he is working hard to live up to expectations, expressing strong affection for the current show and his role.
Later in the interview, Kim shared his approach to life and work. “I think we should live with the mindset that we have no limits — try a variety of things and enjoy them,” he said. “Instead of worrying about increasing the size of the vessel you already have, think about what you put into it. If you’re going to fill it, fill it with better things. By doing that, I truly believe better acting will follow.”
Finally, he closed by reflecting on his gratitude. “I’m very thankful that I can keep working. Lately, that sense of gratitude has been a powerful motivator for me,” he said.
