An image from SBS shows Yoo Yeon-seok’s Shin I-rang transformed into a spirit-possessed shaman.
Episode 6 of SBS’s Friday–Saturday series ‘Shin I-rang Law Office’ (directed by Shin Jung-hoon; written by Kim Ga-young and Kang Cheol-gyu) finds Shin I-rang (Yoo Yeon-seok) taking on a shamanic role.
At the end of Episode 5, the spirit of Jeon Sang-ho (Yoon Na-mu) becomes convinced his father-in-law, Kim Tae-joon (Kim Hong-pa), killed him. That revelation sends Jeon’s rage into Shin I-rang during a possession, triggering a violent outburst and leaving Shin I-rang arrested as a murder suspect.

After seeing where his body was dumped, Jeon Sang-ho immediately suspected his wife, Kim Soo-jung (Jeong Ga-hee), hadn’t acted alone. The thought that a hidden hand might be behind the case threw his emotions into turmoil. Investigative threads even revealed tension between Jeon and his father-in-law over research into a rare-disease treatment, sending the case in a new direction. That transferred fury and confusion to Shin I-rang, who lost control and threatened Kim Tae-joon. Prosecutors then found Shin I-rang’s fingerprints on gloves near the body and moved to arrest him on charges of murder and abandoning a corpse.
With questions mounting about how Shin I-rang will get out of this crisis and whether the threatened father-in-law is the real killer, the show has released preview clips and stills to heighten the suspense. One notable turn: Hanna Hyun (Esom), who had dismissed Shin I-rang as delusional, begins to act differently. Before his trial, Shin I-rang pinpointed the murder site—information he didn’t even know—and investigators confirmed that handwriting he left on the office whiteboard while possessed matched Jeon Sang-ho’s. Faced with those facts, Hanna Hyun can no longer simply deny the unexplainable.
The preview shows Hanna Hyun visiting Shin I-rang and offering a tentative apology: “I’m sorry I didn’t listen, I misunderstood you, and I spoke so harshly.” It raises the question of whether she’s accepting the possibility of spirits—and whether the two will team up again to solve the case.
What steals the spotlight, however, is Shin I-rang’s striking new look as a shaman. The images show him clutching a black fan with bells, eyes flashing with intensity. The odd pairing of a crisp lawyer’s suit and a ritual fan leaves a vivid impression—could he really be a “shaman lawyer” now? That visual prompts fresh intrigue: why does Shin I-rang suddenly wield a fan and adopt a shaman persona, and how will his spirit-driven sleuthing tighten the noose around the true culprit?
The production team says Episode 6 will dynamically unfold Shin I-rang’s effort to expose the ugly forces behind the Jeon Sang-ho case. They urged viewers to watch for the changing relationship between Shin I-rang and Hanna Hyun and to see Yoo Yeon-seok’s daring shaman transformation and the reasons behind it.
Episode 6 of ‘Shin I-rang Law Office’ airs on the 28th at 9:50 p.m. KST.
