[By Im Si-ryeong, Sports Today] ‘Climax’ has become appointment viewing, delivering relentless twists each episode while dominating online metrics. The series is No. 1 in the 20–49 demographic among Monday–Tuesday dramas, has topped Disney+ Korea’s charts for 10 consecutive days, and is the first ENA drama since 2022 to lead in buzz—extending a sweeping wave of popularity.
As of the 27th, ENA’s Monday–Tuesday drama ‘Climax’ had held the No. 1 spot on Disney+ Korea for 10 straight days. When episode 4 aired on the 24th, it posted a 1.3% rating in the 20–49 demographic—its highest to date—securing the top spot among Monday–Tuesday dramas in that key audience. Nielsen Korea also reported that the peak minute rating in the Seoul metropolitan area exceeded 4.2%, underscoring strong viewer engagement.
‘Climax’ also claimed the top position in FUNdex’s buzz rankings for both TV-OTT dramas and TV dramas—a milestone for an ENA drama since 2022 and clear evidence of sustained public interest. The series ranked No. 1 on Naver Enter’s “Most Searched Dramas Now,” topped WatchaPedia’s Korean series chart, and landed at No. 2 on content-ranking platform Kinolights’ Weekly Trend Ranking.
The drama centers on prosecutor Bang Tae-seop, who plunges into a cartel of power in a bid to reach the top of the nation, and it follows the brutal survival battles of those around him. Produced by Seoul Spring and HYBE Mediacorp, the series marks director Lee Ji-won’s drama debut after her work on the film ‘Miss Back.’ The cast includes Joo Ji-hoon, Ha Ji-won, Cha Joo-young, Nana, and Oh Jung-se. It airs every Monday and Tuesday at 10 p.m. on ENA and is also available on KT Genie TV and Disney+.
