Reporter Yoon Hye-young – BTS Makes New History With an Unprecedented Gwanghwamun Comeback Show (March 21)

The group BTS (RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, Jungkook) staged BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE: ARIRANG at Gwanghwamun Square at 8 PM on the 21st, marking the band’s first full-group performance in about three years and five months.

Tying their record to Korea’s iconic folk song, Arirang, the group deliberately chose Gwanghwamun Square, creating a historic tableau that framed the seven members against one of Korea’s most symbolic public spaces.

Roughly 100,000 people (HYBE estimate) packed the square to welcome the returning global stars. The members recalled the Busan concert, saying, \”We remember you asking us to wait; thank you so much for coming.\” They added that they had felt a lot of worry and nerves leading up to this moment, and that they were deeply grateful and happy to be face-to-face with fans again.

The evening’s setlist featured tracks from their fifth studio album Arirang, released the day before, alongside global hits such as \”Butter,\” \”Dynamite,\” \”MIC Drop,\” and \”Mikrokosmos,\” which helped stoke the crowd’s energy.

At the close of the show, the members thanked ARMY for filling Gwanghwamun and vowed, \”As long as you are with us, we will continue to give our best through great music.\”

Producer Kim Ye-seul compared the 15-year friendship between producer Na Young-seok and actor Lee Seo-jin to the dynamic of a romantic comedy’s female and male leads.

Lee Seo-jin’s Dalla Dalla chronicles the actor’s Texas travelogue, reflecting his personal tastes. It wasn’t just cameras following the trip he arranged; close friends like producer Na Young-seok joined him, resulting in a playful chemistry as Na toggled between director and on-screen companion. That back-and-forth became one of the show’s key charms.

At the press presentation, Kim likened their rapport to the archetypal bubbly heroine and cynical hero from rom-coms, drawing laughter. \”On set it just felt like good back-and-forth, but during post-production I watched their exchanges and thought, ‘This really plays like a rom-com,’\” she said. \”Working on it made me appreciate the kind of chemistry that only years together can produce.\”

Na Young-seok joked that he enjoyed putting Lee Seo-jin in awkward spots. \”I’d say something silly on purpose just to see him squirm — it made me laugh. We traveled without noticing the time,\” he said, setting a light, convivial tone.

Reporter Lim Si-ryeong – Bae Sung-woo: I won’t do anything reckless; I’ll live more carefully (March 26)

Actor Bae Sung-woo expressed regret and remorse in his first on-record interview following a drunk-driving controversy.

He returns to a leading role after seven years in the film \”The Final Investigation,\” and acknowledged that his actions had caused significant disappointment among the public.

When asked about his feelings after the incident, his current life and his outlook going forward, he spoke with visible caution, choosing his words carefully and occasionally showing signs of anxiety. He even took sips of coffee before answering related questions, a clear sign of nervousness.

\”I’ve decided I won’t do anything strange, and I’ll avoid things I’m told not to do. I’ll be more careful moving forward. Above all, I feel I need to live properly,\” he said.

He appeared flustered when asked whether he had cut back on drinking or begun using public transit more often. Later, he added, \”I wasn’t someone who drank that heavily even before.\”

Yuna debuted at 15 as the youngest member of ITZY. Now in her eighth year since debut, she follows Yeji as the group’s second member to launch solo activities with her debut single \”Ice Cream.\”

At a press event celebrating her solo release, Yuna spoke about the encouragement she received from Park Jin-young, JYP Entertainment’s chief producer, who has watched her grow since childhood. \”When I had just started preparing my solo album, I met Producer Park,\” she said. \”I told him I was working hard, and he said with a warm look, ‘Yuna, I’m excited. Don’t get hurt and finish well.’ That message really resonated with me.\”

She added, \”I debuted with ITZY at 15. Producer Park has watched my development since I was young, so his support felt especially heartfelt,\” and expressed her gratitude toward him.

Reporter Jung Ye-won – Dream fulfilled: newcomer Jang Da-a’s dazzling big-screen debut (March 24)

The press screening and conference for the film Salmokji, which opens on the 8th of next month, were held at CGV Yongsan I’Park Mall. Salmokji is a horror film in which a mysterious shape appears on a road view of the reservoir; when the crew returns to reshoot, they encounter something dark and deep in the water.

Jang Da-a, who plays rookie OnRoad Media PD Se-jung, achieved her dream of a screen debut with this film. Previously noted as the older sister of IVE’s Jang Won-young, she has steadily built her craft with solid performances.

At the event, Jang said, \”When I first dreamed of acting, I had this fantasy of watching a film I bought a ticket for on the big screen. It came true sooner than I expected. I’m grateful to have worked alongside such accomplished seniors.\”

Her fearless approach to intense horror scenes drew attention. \”I communicated a lot with the director, and I was grateful to create scenes that could make an impact as an actress. I approached it ready to take on the challenge. The scenes were demanding, but I filmed them hoping they’d turn out well, without giving in to worry,\” she said.
