[Sports Today reporter Lim Si-ryeong] Esom’s gaze went icy in the SBS drama Shin I-rang Law Office.
In the episode that aired on the 21st, the Friday–Saturday SBS drama depicted Han Na-hyun (Esom) turning her back on Shin I-rang (Yoo Yeon-seok).
That episode saw Han Na-hyun grow suspicious of Shin I-rang’s odd identity. After recalling a recent chase between Shin and composer Go Jong-seok (Jung Si-heon), she visits Go’s home to look for a connection. There, she presses him about Shin I-rang and, with sharp questioning, probes the circumstances surrounding Kim Soo-ah’s (Oh Ye-ju) fatal fall.
Later, while slipping out of Go’s house, Han runs into Shin I-rang, which only deepens her doubts and calls for an explanation. The situation escalates when Go abruptly claims—without witnesses or evidence—that he killed Kim Soo-ah. Stunned by his intensity but short on time, they agree to focus on resolving the case first.
Working together, Han not only delivers the requested documents but also pulls Shin I-rang—who has been possessed by Kim Soo-ah—out of danger. After the case is closed, she asks who he’s working with; he replies, incredulously, “a ghost.” She turns away, as if the answer isn’t worth further discussion, leaving viewers wondering how their relationship will evolve.
Across these scenes, Esom subtly conveys Han Na-hyun’s internal conflict—from wavering between trust and suspicion to the cold, decisive moment when she draws a line and shuts down—bringing added nuance and depth to the character’s arc.
The next episode teases a new, media-focused case that will again put the two at odds, heightening anticipation. Whether they can overcome the crisis and become a team unfolds on Shin I-rang Law Office, which airs every Friday and Saturday at 9:50 p.m.
