‘Intimate Ripley’ Star Isia Hatches a Plan
The February 10 episode of KBS 2TV’s ‘Intimate Ripley’ unveiled the machinations of Cha Jung-won (portrayed by Isia), Han Hye-ra (Lee Il-hwa), and Joo Ha-neul (Seol Jung-hwan).
When Joo Ha-neul questioned, “Even if Jung-won is officially recognized as the successor, will Geonhyang’s board members rally behind Jin Tae-seok?”, Han Hye-ra revealed, “Jin Tae-seok possesses a ledger of illegal slush fund transactions involving high-profile figures in Korea’s political and business spheres. It’s essentially a noose around their necks.”
Joo Ha-neul mentioned, “I received a few documents from Director Hwang,” to which Han Hye-ra responded, “That’s just the tip of the iceberg. Jin Tae-seok is sitting on something far more explosive. If it comes to light, it could plunge the entire country into chaos.”
Upon hearing this, Cha Jung-won inquired, “So, about those funds that were moved…” Han Hye-ra elaborated, “It’s a Swiss account holding 3 trillion KRW (2.25 billion USD). Jin Tae-seok will stop at nothing to locate that account, and his adversaries will be clamoring for even larger payoffs.” Cha Jung-won concluded, “I’ll need to cement Jin Tae-seok’s loyalty if I want to secure my position as the successor.”
