In a shocking twist on the latest episode of “First Man,” Ham Eun-jung’s character, Ma Se-rin, uncovers the truth about her twin sister and begins to suspect Oh Hyun-kyung’s character.
The episode, which aired on the 10th, revealed that Ma Se-rin, portrayed by Ham Eun-jung, discovers she has a twin sister, Oh Jang-mi, also played by Ham Eun-jung.
During a tense confrontation, Ma Se-rin asks Chae Hwa-young, played by Oh Hyun-kyung, “Am I really a twin?” Visibly shaken, Chae Hwa-young drops her cup and vehemently denies the possibility. Meanwhile, Oh Bok-gil, portrayed by Kim Hak-seon, passes away, leaving Oh Jang-mi grief-stricken.
Ma Se-rin persists in her questioning, causing Chae Hwa-young to become increasingly agitated. When Ma Se-rin inquires about her birthplace, Chae Hwa-young injures herself while cleaning up the broken cup. Her suspicious behavior only fuels Ma Se-rin’s doubts.
After Ma Se-rin’s departure, Chae Hwa-young makes a cryptic phone call to her secretary, Lee Gang-hyuk, played by Lee Jae-hwang, saying, “The moment we’ve been dreading has finally arrived.” Unbeknownst to her, Ma Se-rin overhears this conversation, deepening her suspicions.
Chae Hwa-young, initially worried about a potential encounter between Ma Se-rin and Oh Jang-mi, expresses relief upon hearing of Oh Bok-gil’s death, viewing it as a fortuitous turn of events.
In her quest for answers about her origins, Ma Se-rin seeks out Oh Bok-gil, only to learn of his passing. Overwhelmed, she grapples with the implications, wondering aloud, “If Oh Bok-gil is dead, who’s the real killer? My mother who struck him with a wrench? Or Professor Kang Nam-bong, who hit him with a car?”

In a dramatic turn of events, Oh Tae-pyeong confronts Kang Nam-bong, played by Jung Chan, who was responsible for hitting his father with a car. As tensions escalate, Kang Baek-ho, portrayed by Yoon Sun-woo, attempts to intervene. The situation takes an unexpected turn when Kang Baek-ho’s mother, Han Young-ja, played by Choi Ji-yeon, throws water on Oh Tae-pyeong, warning him about the presumption of innocence and threatening retaliation against his sister, Oh Jang-mi. Defeated, Oh Tae-pyeong retreats.
At the hospital, Ma Se-rin is mistaken for Oh Jang-mi by a nurse. When inquiring about the funeral arrangements, the nurse inadvertently reveals, “Oh, you’re twins! The service is being held at our hospital’s funeral home.”
This revelation leaves Ma Se-rin reeling, grappling with the possibility of Oh Jang-mi being her twin and the implications of Oh Bok-gil’s death, who might be connected to her father.
In a brazen move, Chae Hwa-young attends Oh Bok-gil’s funeral, offering insincere condolences to Oh Jang-mi.
The funeral takes a chaotic turn when Jeong Sook-hee, played by Jung So-young, spots Lee Gang-hyuk, who had previously taken her child. Overwhelmed with emotion, she causes a scene by throwing food, prompting Oh Jang-mi to rush to her aid.
As Oh Jang-mi ponders her mother’s extreme reactions to Lee Gang-hyuk, she confides her suspicions about her father’s death to Chae Hwa-young. Unbeknownst to them, Ma Se-rin secretly observes this exchange, horrified by Chae Hwa-young’s apparent involvement in Oh Bok-gil’s demise.
Through eavesdropping on Lee Gang-hyuk and Chae Hwa-young’s conversation, Ma Se-rin begins to uncover a dark history involving Jeong Sook-hee.
Just as the weight of these revelations hits Ma Se-rin, she finds herself in danger of being discovered by Lee Gang-hyuk and Chae Hwa-young.
