Actor Park Jung-min is set to make a special appearance in Chungju for an exclusive meet-and-greet event.
According to distributor NEW, Park will visit CGV Chungju Gyo-hyeon and Megabox Chungju Yeonsu on the 13th for a stage greeting to promote his latest film, ‘Humint.’ This Chungju visit stems from a promise Park made during a recent appearance on the city’s official YouTube channel, where he chatted with local creator ‘Chungju Man.’
During the broadcast, Park pledged, “When ‘Humint’ is released, I’ll hold a stage greeting at a Chungju theater.” When asked about his hometown, Park revealed his deep connection to the city, stating, “My family roots are in Chungju. It’s my father’s hometown, and all my relatives live here.” He added, “Since my parents are in Chungju, let’s consider it my hometown too.” Though not an official ambassador, Park’s genuine affection for Chungju as its ‘son’ has materialized into this exclusive event.

News of the event has sparked excitement among fans, with many wondering if they should make the trip to Chungju. Comments praising Park’s commitment to keeping his promise have flooded social media, with some noting the uniqueness of this promotional approach.
Meanwhile, ‘Humint,’ the latest from acclaimed director Ryu Seung-wan, is an action-packed spy thriller set in Vladivostok. The film, which features a star-studded cast including Park Jung-min, Jo In-sung, Park Hae-joon, and Shin Se-kyung, is slated for release on the 11th.
