Actress Jeon Jong-seo has recently registered her personal corporation as a pop culture and arts planning business, sources confirm.
On the 10th, Sports Kyunghyang reported that Jeon belatedly registered her independent agency in the pop culture and arts sector.
According to the Comprehensive Pop Culture and Arts Information System provided by the Korea Creative Content Agency, Jeon’s company, ‘Summer Inc.,’ officially registered as a pop culture and arts planning business on the 4th. This comes approximately 3 years and 8 months after its establishment in June 2022.
Lee Chung-hyun, Jeon’s boyfriend and director of ‘Ballerina’ and ‘The Price,’ has been registered as an internal director of the company.
Addressing the controversy surrounding the delayed registration, Jeon’s agency, Andmark, clarified to Sports Today that ‘Summer’ was established primarily for content planning, development, and production, rather than as a management company.
They further explained, “During the corporate establishment process, we broadly listed our business categories, which inadvertently included management-related activities. However, as we had no intentions of engaging in talent management, we didn’t recognize the necessity for registration. Recently, as issues regarding unregistered status came to light, we reassessed our business classification and made the necessary corrections.”
In other news, Jeon Jong-seo was last seen on the big screen in ‘Project Y,’ which hit theaters in January.
