[Herald Economy — Reporter Park Yeon-su] CJ Foodville, the company behind Italian bistro Olipepe, said on May 14 that its Yeouido outpost, which opened on April 30, is already drawing big crowds.
The Yeouido Olipepe pulled in 2,000 advance reservations alone, and bookings for the May holiday period sold out quickly.
Following the launch of its Gwanghwamun location and now Yeouido, Olipepe has welcomed more than 55,000 guests to date. Interest in its wood-fired pizzas has been especially strong — the bistro is selling roughly one pizza every two minutes. Nearly half of all pizza orders go to its signature menu item, “Oli Olive.”
Olipepe is also introducing two new main dishes. Pollo Cacciatore is a chicken dish that pairs the deep umami of tomato sauce with fragrant herbs. The menu will also feature Cotoletta alla Milanese, a Milanese-style crispy, fried bone-in pork loin.
