Women’s wellness brand Rael is rolling out its new AiryCool menstrual pad—designed to stay comfortable even in hot, humid summers—and will begin pre-sales at Korean beauty retailer Olive Young.

The pad delivers a refreshingly cool feel without any chemical cooling agents, relying instead on smart material choices and a ventilation-focused structural design.
Rael blended OCS-certified organic cotton with linen to combine cotton’s soft touch with linen’s naturally cool texture, and used a totally chlorine-free (TCF) bleaching process so even sensitive skin can wear it with confidence.
The top sheet features a three-layer air-mesh structure inspired by wound gauze, engineered to absorb fluid quickly while maximizing moisture wicking and breathability. It boosts air permeability by about 25% compared to standard pads, and lab tests show the cover surface that touches the skin can cool roughly 3–4°C (about 5.4–7.2°F) within 10 minutes after liquid exposure.
Inside, a natural pulp absorbent layer—free of superabsorbent polymers (SAP)—delivers a plush yet lightweight feel. The pad also includes a deodorizing system that removes ammonia at a 99.9% rate, reducing the substances that cause odor instead of just masking smells with fragrance, which helps cut down on unpleasant summer odors.
Independent testing by German dermatology institute Dermatest gave the product its top “Excellent” rating in sensitive-skin trials. Rael also completed patch and clinical tests on adult women with sensitive skin, verifying it as a low-irritation product.
The line comes in four styles—regular pads in Medium and Large, and wearable overnight in Medium and Large. All items use a breathable back sheet to promote airflow, and the wearable overnight versions add a stretchy soft-wave waistband and a 360° leak-prevention guard so you can move or sleep worry-free.
