[The Public = Reporter Eunhye An] Ottogi Co., Ltd. announced on April 20 that it will host the 29th Ottogi Sweet Home Family Cooking Festival at the Busan Cinema Center on April 25.
One hundred families will take part in a cook-off under the theme “Busan’s signature ingredients meet Ottogi,” each creating unique, Busan-inspired Sweet Home dishes.
As Ottogi’s first festival in Busan, the company says it aims to deepen customer connections and bring the Sweet Home brand to life directly for attendees.
At the venue, participating families can join hands-on activities like an 8-Second Jin Ramen Stacking challenge and a LIGHT&JOY find-the-picture game.
The festival will also offer food-truck tastings — Pizza Italiana 5 Formaggio and original hot dogs — as well as Jin milmyeon and iced teas (peach and yuzu), Momo’s Coffee, and Ottogi filling doughnuts, giving visitors plenty of chances to sample menu items on site.
Prizes in the cooking category include: the Ottogi Prize (1 family) — 5,000,000 KRW (approximately 3,750 USD) (cash); the Sweet Home Prize (2 families) — 2,000,000 KRW each (approximately 1,500 USD) (cash); and the Family Cooking Prize (3 families) — 1,000,000 KRW each (approximately 750 USD) (Ottogi Mall mileage).
In special categories, the Happy Moment Award (1 family) will receive a Hong Kong travel voucher worth 3,000,000 KRW (approximately 2,250 USD), and the Special Award (5 families) will grant 100,000 KRW each (approximately 75 USD) (Ottogi Mall mileage).
All participating families will receive KidZania tickets for four (valid in Seoul and Busan), welcome gifts, and other giveaways.
An Ottogi spokesperson said, “For 29 years, the Sweet Home Family Cooking Festival has promoted healthy family dining. We hope that holding the festival in Busan for the first time will give us the opportunity to connect directly with more customers.”
