Premium Jeju seafood with breathtaking Yongmeori Coast views, Jeju ‘Namgyeongmirak’

Perched in Andeok-myeon, Seogwipo, this sashimi restaurant pairs sweeping views of Yongmeori Coast and Sanbangsan with premium, wild-caught fish. They sell only Jeju catch; aside from red sea bream, the menu features species such as daegumbari and red parrotfish that can’t be farmed—so everything is local and wild. Because they bring in oversized bariform fish that are hard to source, dining here feels a cut above typical sashimi or sushi places. You can order daegumbari by the kilogram, and both the sashimi and its prepared offal are served cleanly and beautifully.

Jamdoobong The Nine in Hapjeong literally floats on the Han River—an unforgettable, slightly whimsical spot to grill samgyeopsal. The sides are simple—lettuce and kimchi—but there’s nothing like biting into perfectly grilled pork belly while watching the water glide by. Finish with their Han River-style ramen to soak up the full romantic, late-night vibe.

Set halfway up the mountain, Busanjip in Miryang offers a wide-open view that even includes the Miryang cable car. The menu leans into rustic, mountain-style cooking—acorn jelly salad, savory pancakes, and grilled deodeok root—paired with traditional drinks like dongdongju rice wine and kudzu juice. Their acorn jelly salad, mixed with apple, is a surprising star; the crunchy kimchi served alongside is refreshingly good and pairs perfectly with the house noodles.

Jinju Restaurant, a two-generation family business with 35 years in Noryangjin Fish Market, sits on the market’s fifth floor and boasts views of Namsan and the Han River. They offer aged sashimi, seasoned sashimi, and a range of seafood dishes. You can also buy fresh seafood from the market stalls and pay a plating fee to have it prepared at the restaurant—just note that all fried items must be purchased from the restaurant itself. Their aged sashimi is made by curing live-caught fish with kelp; the kelp’s umami elevates the fresh fish into something truly special.
