Coway snagged the top honor for the seventh year running at the 10th annual Drinking Water & Water Purifier Review in 2026.
Organized each year by the Korean International Sommelier Association, the Drinking Water & Water Purifier Review helps consumers pick safe, great-tasting options. National water sommeliers conduct blind tastings and award Grand Gold, Gold, or Silver ratings based on their scores.
This year, Coway’s Icon Purifier 3 won the top Grand Gold rating. The win extended Coway’s streak of top ratings to seven years and also earned the company the Diamond Award — given to firms that achieve Gold or higher for six consecutive years — underscoring Coway’s edge in water taste.
Built from feedback gathered from about 3,000 purifier users, the Grand Gold–winning Icon Purifier 3 focuses on convenience and hygiene. It features a Smart Moving Faucet that automatically detects container height and an on-demand UV sterilization function that activates during dispensing for a cleaner, more user-friendly experience.
Coway packed the unit with its all-in-one NanoTrap filter, a concentration of the company’s filtration know-how. It catches dissolved heavy metals as well as viruses and microplastics, leaving water that tastes clean and crisp.
“This award recognizes the filter technology and water-taste research we’ve developed over many years,” a Coway spokesperson said. “We will continue researching water taste to provide clean, great-tasting water that customers can trust.”
