Times Square, the Gyeongbang Complex Shopping Mall, is rolling out an array of dessert brand pop-ups just in time for Valentine’s Day and the Lunar New Year holiday, as announced on the 10th.
The mall’s dedicated F&B pop-up space, ‘Tasty Cube’, is set to host a series of brand pop-ups that capture the latest dessert trends. Foodies can look forward to ‘Doraon’, known for its cloud-like Japanese pancakes, and ‘Osaka Akachan Baby Castella’, which brings a taste of Osaka to the mall. These sweet treats will be available from the 11th through March 3rd.

Valentine’s Day gets an extra dose of sweetness with enhanced Dubai-inspired dessert offerings. The wildly popular ‘Kkakka’ will tempt shoppers with its Dubai chewy cookie pop-up (affectionately dubbed ‘Dubchonk’) until the 22nd. Not to be outdone, ‘Kkakpal’ will follow up with its ‘Dubai Waffle’ pop-up from the 23rd to March 15th. For those who can’t get enough of the Dubai dessert trend, the fourth-floor ‘Teddy Bear House’ will serve up Dubchonk, while the third-floor ‘Mahogany’ will offer Dubai cream cakes. Rounding out the Dubai-themed treats are ice cream and golden toast options.
As the Lunar New Year approaches, Times Square is putting a modern spin on traditional desserts. The ‘Jangin, The’ pop-up, specializing in traditional yakgwa (honey cookies), will run from the 11th to March 3rd. It’s the perfect spot to grab festive snacks that blend old-world charm with contemporary flair.
In other exciting news, salt bread aficionados will be thrilled to learn that ‘Our Ones’, a bakery specializing in this savory-sweet treat, is set to open its doors on the first basement level of Times Square on the 11th.
