J.Lindeberg is kicking off its 30th anniversary by debuting a limited capsule collection first in Korea.
Shinsegae International, the importer and retailer of the Swedish sports label, said it held a 30th-anniversary event in Seoul on April 28 and offered a sneak peek of the capsule collection slated for global release in June.
The event was hosted at the brand’s flagship, Clubhouse Seoul.
Presented to fashion insiders, buyers and VIPs ahead of the worldwide launch, the Seoul preview marks the starting point for J.Lindeberg’s year-long 30th-anniversary campaign.
The June capsule draws inspiration from the pink pants golfer Jesper Parnevik wore at the 1998 Open Championship.
That daring splash of color helped shake up a traditionally conservative golfwear scene, and J.Lindeberg has reimagined the look for a modern audience.
Centered on pink with black and white accents to reinforce the brand’s identity, the collection features polo shirts, knits, pleated skirts, tailored shorts and dresses.
The pieces are designed to balance performance and style, so they work just as well on the course as they do in everyday life.
Clubhouse Seoul is staged to reflect the brand’s past and future. Through displays of the collection, putting demos, music and culinary programming, J.Lindeberg aims to convey the full lifestyle it represents.
Through the end of this month, in-store visitors receive a 10% discount and reward points. From now through May 17, customers nationwide who spend at least 1,000,000 KRW (about $750) will receive a limited-edition 30th-anniversary ball marker while supplies last.
Founded in Stockholm in 1996, J.Lindeberg earned a reputation for golfwear that fuses function with forward-thinking design. The brand entered Korea in 2011 and has since secured a leading position in the premium golfwear market.
