Actress Lee Joo-yeon turned heads after revealing her family’s surprisingly savvy approach to money: everyone in her household works at a bank.
On the 18th, during episode 394 of MBC’s variety show The Manager, Lee opened up about how a modest family life helped her accumulate her current assets.
On the show, her father popped by her home and teased, “Make some money and give your old man an allowance — I still give you one,” prompting laughs.

Lee laughed that she used to give him more but hasn’t been able to lately, and joked she’d like to be able to give more after appearing on the show.
When the cast asked about the family’s approach to money, Lee revealed a surprising family background: her parents, older sister, and brother-in-law are all bankers. She said she trusted her father with financial decisions, and because of that trust they were able to buy a house. She admitted she could never have managed it herself, praising her father’s skill at handling assets.
Her parents also pressed her about dating and marriage. Her father urged her, “All your friends are married — why aren’t you? Bring a boyfriend over,” and her mother chimed in, “My little wish is to have a beer with my daughter’s boyfriend.” Lee confessed she doesn’t talk much about dating because her parents pry and worry. Asked why she broke up with past boyfriends, she candidly said, “I tend to get bored with someone quickly,” which sent everyone laughing.
