[Herald Economy=Jin Kim] Reebok, carried by LF, announced on March 20 that it has launched the Club C Loafer (Club C Loafer·photo), a hybrid that fuses a 1930s penny loafer design with the outsole of its classic Club C 85 sneaker. The Club C Loafer is an SMU (Special Make-Up) model developed exclusively for the domestic market. It reflects the growing trend for shoes that blur the line between formal and casual. Reebok highlights the loafer’s signature U‑tip stitching with a three-dimensional finish and adds a gold penny print to the vamp band. The style is available in suede and synthetic leather, aimed at men in their 20s to 40s who want a pair that moves effortlessly from business to weekend looks.Meanwhile, the Club C 85 sold out its initial run within two months after its domestic relaunch in October 2022, and cumulative sales have topped 150,000 pairs to date. About 70% of last year’s buyers were between their teens and 30s.A Reebok representative described the Club C Loafer as “a strategic fashion item designed to expand sneaker consumers into the loafer category.”
