[TV Daily reporter Choi Hana] BTS remained atop Billboard’s global charts for a fourth straight week.
According to the latest Billboard charts released on the 21st (dated April 25), BTS’s fifth full-length album ‘ARIRANG’ and its lead single ‘SWIM’ held the No. 1 spot on both the Global 200 and the Global (excluding U.S.) charts for a fourth consecutive week. All 13 vocal tracks from the album stayed on the Global 200, and each landed inside the top 50 on the Global (excluding U.S.) chart. The group also posted strong results on the main U.S. charts. ARIRANG reached No. 3 on the Billboard 200, while ‘SWIM’ climbed to No. 10 on the Hot 100. Album cuts ‘Body to Body’ (No. 69), ‘2.0’ (No. 88) and ‘Hooligan’ (No. 90) each remained on the Hot 100 for the month. BTS led Digital Song Sales for four straight weeks and earned No. 2 on Top Album Sales and No. 3 on Vinyl Albums, among other key categories. Their world tour is also progressing smoothly. BTS opened the BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ at Goyang Sports Complex on the 9th. The run will span 34 cities with 85 shows — the most dates ever for a single Korean act. After drawing more than 240,000 fans across the Goyang and Tokyo stops, BTS will continue the North American leg at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa on the 25th, 26th and 28th.
