[Sports Today reporter Lim Si-ryeong] Kim Dong-wan, a member of veteran K-pop group Shinhwa and an actor, has been posting pointed messages on social media.
On the 30th, Kim wrote on his social account: “Why do people keep assigning meaning to someone’s decision to live quietly? It’s that person’s life. They don’t owe anyone anything, and they don’t have to explain themselves.”
Earlier, on the 29th, Kim attended Lee Min-woo’s wedding at a hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul. Fellow Shinhwa members Andy, Junjin and Eric were also present with their wives.
Shin Hye-sung was absent from the ceremony, an omission that fueled speculation about a rift. Shin has suspended activities after a second DUI incident.
When Shin’s absence was raised, Kim appeared to address it indirectly on social media, reiterating, “It’s that person’s life. They don’t owe anyone anything, and they don’t have to explain themselves.”
Lately, Kim has been drawing attention for sharing candid views on social media.
