Valentine’s Day Chocolate Tour: Discover Japan’s Best Treats with Lee Gook-joo!

The comedian took to her personal YouTube channel on February 9th to share her “Japanese Chocolate Tour,” documenting visits to renowned chocolate shops across the country.

Kicking off the pre-Valentine’s Day excursion, Lee and fellow comedian Eun-ji sampled a wide array of chocolates. Despite the sweet journey, Lee humorously quipped, “I’m getting chocolate fatigue!”

She also challenged societal norms, questioning the significance of Valentine’s Day and encouraging viewers to break free from conventional expectations.

The following day, Lee continued her confectionery quest at a Japanese market, accompanied by Tomoki Fujiwara.

Tomoki expressed surprise upon learning of Lee’s chocolate purchases in Shinjuku and Ginza.

At the market, Lee discovered a chocolate shop offering incredible value. For just 1,000 JPY (about 6.70 USD), the shop owner personally curated a selection for her. Ever the chocolate enthusiast, Lee requested more, ultimately receiving eight pieces.

Astounded by the bargain, Lee’s reaction prompted Tomoki to playfully remark, “It’s because you’re beautiful, noona,” eliciting smiles all around.

Lee then joked, “If you gift chocolates from here on Valentine’s Day, you might get slapped,” injecting humor into the outing.

Tomoki Fujiwara, a multifaceted entertainer, has been active in Japan since 2008. He debuted with the group Aestyle and has since established himself as an MC and actor.

Recent footage of Tomoki visiting Lee’s home has surfaced, showcasing their close friendship.

In other news, Lee relocated to Tokyo last April to enhance her Japanese language skills. She recently made headlines by announcing she had secured a regular spot on a Japanese broadcast.
