Singer and actress Son Dam-bi is bidding farewell to her Itaewon newlywed home of three and a half years, embarking on a new chapter in a fresh abode.
On May 10th, Son Dam-bi took to social media, sharing, “The moving process is incredibly swift. It’s remarkable! Time to head to our new home.” She accompanied her post with photos capturing the bustling scene of her belongings being loaded onto a moving truck.
Stealing the spotlight was a striking advertisement featuring heartthrob actor Won Bin, plastered across the side of a large blue moving truck. The prominent display of Won Bin’s face, dominating the truck’s exterior, not only caught eyes but also added an unexpected twist to Son Dam-bi’s moving day narrative.
Just two days prior, on May 8th, Son Dam-bi had hinted at her impending move, posting, “Taking in the final view, D-2. These three and a half years have been truly wonderful.” The accompanying photo, showing her cradling her daughter while gazing at the night skyline from her soon-to-be-former home, tugged at followers’ heartstrings.
The Itaewon residence gained notoriety when Son Dam-bi previously disclosed in an interview that the monthly rent was a staggering 10 million KRW (approximately $7,500), with additional management fees exceeding 800,000 KRW (around $600). The decision to relocate appears to stem from a desire to find a more child-friendly environment following the birth of her daughter in April of last year.
As Son Dam-bi prepares for this new chapter, she’s already knee-deep in renovations at her new home. The star is meticulously curating eco-friendly furniture for her daughter Hae-i, methodically laying the groundwork for their fresh start.
Son Dam-bi tied the knot with former national speed skating champion Lee Kyu-hyuk in 2022. The couple welcomed their daughter shortly after.
