Live streaming platform SOOP is rolling out a diverse lineup of special content for the Lunar New Year holiday.
On January 10th, SOOP unveiled its “2026 Lunar New Year Special Page,” a one-stop hub for users to access information on live broadcasts, cinematic content, and events scheduled during the festive period.
The live tab will showcase holiday-themed content featuring popular streamers. Highlights include “Cooking Challenge for Novices,” where kitchen-challenged streamers attempt culinary feats, and “Race for the Golden Pouch,” a mission-based competition for up-and-coming streamers. SOOP will also present “Global Streamers’ Lunar New Year Adventure,” offering international creators a chance to experience and share Korean New Year traditions.
The holiday schedule is packed with an array of live broadcasts. Fans can look forward to “Boot Camp Chronicles,” a military-themed reality show starring streamer Gamst, as well as virtual streamer spectacles like “Lunar New Year Virtual Crew Showdown” and “Croa Yut Nori Tournament.”
SOOP’s CineTi section, where streamers and viewers can watch and discuss content together, will feature a holiday-curated lineup. A special tab will showcase a selection of movies, TV series, and animations, with the full program to be revealed during an official livestream on the 13th.
The events tab will host both competitive tournaments and interactive user events. “Lunar New Year Extravaganza: Extraordinary Moves,” utilizing Evna Games’ WASD, will run on the 14th and 15th, featuring 13 teams of four streamers each, totaling 52 participants. Additionally, SOOP has organized a “VOD and CineTi Lunar New Year Event.” Users can join in by completing simple tasks such as creating holiday-themed VODs, watching CineTi content, and supporting their favorite streamers. This event will continue until the 22nd, extending beyond the holiday period.
