Billed as a \”beautiful paradise\” for a family, this enchanting terrace house in London blends an exotic, mysterious mood with a distinct, sensory design. The project extended and remodeled a Victorian-era home to create a singular residence where different eras coexist within an elegant, high-end aesthetic.

The garden—planted with ferns and a variety of other greenery encircling a small pond—creates an intimate, almost secretive atmosphere. A quiet outdoor terrace, arranged as a private family café, reinforces the sense of a peaceful, secluded retreat that feels entirely separate from the world beyond the house.

Large front glazing facing the garden and skylights in the ceiling flood the main rooms with natural light, keeping them bright and inviting. The open-plan living room, kitchen and dining area feature brick and tile finishes that lend a refined, luxurious character to the space.

Signature designer furniture and curated lighting anchor the living and dining areas, which are enlivened by the family’s long-collected objets d’art and artworks. Those personal touches add warmth and complete a space that balances elegance with a lived-in sophistication.

A custom-built stainless-steel sink is fitted precisely to the kitchen’s layout, which is arranged so the cook faces the living and dining areas and can easily converse with family. The kitchen combines clean, modern lines with practical storage and an efficient workflow, resulting in an interior that is both stylish and highly functional.
