With employee benefits emerging as a key competitive advantage, Korea & Company has transformed the rooftop at its headquarters into a place for staff to relax and connect as part of an effort to strengthen corporate culture.
Korea & Company Group said on May 8 that it is using the Technoplex rooftop at its Pangyo headquarters in Gyeonggi Province as a dedicated employee space.
Since opening Technoplex, the group has prioritized openness to promote informal interaction and creative work, designing a more comfortable office environment. The rooftop terrace is being actively used as a spot for employees to recharge, improving both health and creativity.
The company has run several programs there. In May of last year, Korea & Company Group hosted a wellness initiative called \”Rooftop Class.\” The program offered stretching classes tailored to office workers in an open-air setting and distributed wellness kits — including performance T-shirts and dietary supplements — which drew an enthusiastic response from staff.
This year, the company will hold a stretching class for employees on May 14 aimed at relieving workplace pain and stress. It plans to bring in a fitness specialist to lead the session and will provide natural health supplements.
An industry source said the move reflects a broader trend: companies are moving beyond pay and performance bonuses to invest in improved work environments and welfare spaces, accelerating efforts to boost employee satisfaction and strengthen corporate culture.
