[Herald Economy (Ulsan) = Reporter Park Dongsun] The Ulsan Dong-gu Home and Private Daycare Association (presidents Jeon Soo-kyung and Seo Eun-won) held the 104th Children’s Day celebration—the 2026 Ulsan Dong-gu Children’s Festival—at Daewangam Park on May 2. The event ran from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and drew children and local residents.
The festival, themed “Dong-gu That Respects Children’s Dreams and Hopes,” featured pre-show performances, a commemorative ceremony, stage acts and hands-on activities.
The pre-show began at 9:30 a.m. with a taekwondo demonstration by the Pureun Demonstration Team and a children’s choir performance by the Ulsan Dong-gu Boys and Girls Choir.
During the ceremony, elementary school students recited the Children’s Rights Charter on stage, and officials presented awards to 14 exemplary children.
Onstage performances that followed included a dance by young children and a bubble-magic show. Hands-on attractions included a play theme park with a mini rail train and wooden playground, a police-experience booth, a VR card demonstration, a community sharing market, nail art and temporary tattoo stickers.
A Dong-gu official said, “We will do our best to provide child care so children can grow into the leaders of the future and to make Dong-gu a great place to raise a family.”
