Consumers are increasingly seeking pieces that blend function with feeling, and Jissen — the women’s brand from Wibis (Chairman Do Sang-hyun) — is answering that demand. In the first quarter of 2026, the label leaned into two strategic moves: strong sales of its signature tweed jacket and the launch of a new performance line, both of which helped sharpen the brand’s competitive edge.
Jissen reported that tweed jacket sales rose roughly 46% year over year in Q1 2026. The jacket has been a perennial favorite, and this spring it performed especially well on Wibis Mall, underscoring the piece’s role as a cornerstone for the brand. Even as the company increased stock across its brick-and-mortar stores, sales still climbed versus the prior year, with positive momentum online and offline.
Industry observers attribute the results to Jissen’s strong product development combined with well-timed marketing and promotions. Greater content visibility during peak seasons, styling suggestions tailored to customers, and amplified engagement across channels all helped convert interest into purchases.

Shoppers responded well to Jissen’s mix of classic tweed with modern silhouettes and styling, especially the focus on lightweight, comfortable wear. That reaction fits a clear market trend: people want “practical luxury” that works for both everyday life and dressier moments. Jissen plans to expand its jacket offerings for summer in a range of fabrics, including tweed, to deliver pieces that feel both refined and breathable.
With warmer weather approaching, Jissen also unveiled its first Performance Line. The collection merges athletic functionality with emotive design, moving beyond basic activewear to lifestyle pieces you can wear naturally throughout the day.
A Jissen spokesperson noted that the fashion market is rapidly shifting toward products that satisfy both function and feeling. The Performance Line aims to bridge everyday life and movement through a nature-inspired color palette, comfortable fits, and sleek silhouettes. It’s divided into two sublines: All Day Comfort, a semi-casual range designed for all-day wear, and Stylish Tech, a sensibility-forward sports-casual offering. Both are built to deliver performance and polish.
Looking ahead, Jissen says it will continue strengthening its seasonal core items following the tweed jacket’s Q1 success and steadily expand its lifestyle footprint centered on the new Performance Line.
