[MyDaily = Song Il-seop] On the morning of the 14th, global lighting brand Profoto was displaying its equipment at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul, where the 34th International Broadcasting, Media, Audio & Lighting Exhibition (KOBA 2026) is being held.
KOBA 2026, held under the theme “The Media Era Awakened by AI: Content Connected, Creativity Evolving, Convergence Opening,” features roughly 220 domestic and international companies and about 1,000 booths.

At the exhibition, Profoto introduced a new cinema lineup built around its proprietary Profoto mounts, including the L600C, L600D and L1600D. It also showcased the ProPanel 3×2, which earned recognition at the 2025 Cine Gear Expo; the panel offers uniform, soft illumination and precise color control to meet the sophisticated lighting demands of professional video production.
KOBA 2026 presented technologies beyond traditional broadcast equipment, cameras and audio/lighting gear — including AI-driven content automation, cloud-based live streaming, IP broadcast infrastructure, real-time translation and dubbing, and robotic camera systems. Organizers said the convergence of AI and the media industry is enriching both media and the performing-arts sectors.
