[Herald Economy=Reporter Je-in Kwon] Tasnim reported on May 8 (local time) that Iran’s military has seized a tanker in nearby waters.
Yonhap cited Tasnim saying Iran’s naval special forces captured the tanker Ocean Koi, alleging the vessel had attempted to interfere with Iran’s oil exports and national interests.
Ship-tracking services MarineTraffic and VesselFinder show the Ocean Koi, registered in Barbados, was renamed Jin Li earlier this year and had been operating in the Gulf of Oman until recently.
