Naver will retire its “related searches” feature—first introduced in 2007—effective April 30.
On April 6, the company said on its official “Naver Search” blog that the feature, which appeared at the top of integrated search results, will be discontinued after April 30.
Naver said it has been reshaping the search experience around AI since last year—sharpening “AI Briefing,” which summarizes search results; expanding “Related Questions” to help users explore topics; and rolling out AI-powered query suggestions—to better match users’ intent and context.
The company added that the change is part of that broader effort and said it will continue deepening the integration of AI and search this year to provide richer, more dependable search experiences.

As Naver pivots toward an “AI agent” strategy, it has been winding down several legacy services. Clova X, the AI search service powered by its in-house large language model HyperClova X, is scheduled to be discontinued on the 9th.
