[Sports Today reporter Song Oh-jung] Online streaming service Wavve unveiled its April lineup in the latest Monthly Wavve video. Throughout April, the platform will roll out a diverse slate across drama, variety and sports — from the original survival series Betting on Fact and the much-anticipated 21st Century Grand Lady to live online coverage of every KLPGA and KPGA tournament.
◆Live coverage of every KLPGA and KPGA event — Wavve launches a dedicated golf channel and enhances viewing with Dolby Vision
Wavve has launched a Golf Channel and will stream every tournament from the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) and the Korea Professional Golfers’ Association (KPGA) live online. The service kicks off with the KLPGA’s Rejuran Championship in Thailand on April 12, then continues with the domestic season opener and the full KLPGA calendar. The KPGA tour goes live beginning with the DB Insurance Promy Open on April 16.
On Wavve’s TV app, Dolby Vision will be used to deliver a wider color gamut and greater brightness than standard video. That should translate into richer course greens and even the subtle arc of a golf ball appearing with remarkable clarity, creating a more immersive viewing experience. The Golf Channel, which opens April 12, will also offer VOD replays, overall and player-specific highlights, award ceremonies and interviews, providing a one-stop hub of supplemental content and a differentiated sports-watching experience.
◆Betting on Fact — Wavve’s new subscriber driver — and original drama Reverse
Wavve’s original variety series Betting on Fact, which premiered March 27, drops eight contestants into an isolated environment where they must separate fact from fake news in a fact-verification survival format. Fronted by four-time survival winner and so-called survival GOAT Jang Dong-min, the eclectic cast includes polarizing political commentator Jin Jung-gwon and online figure Hellmouse, as well as Park Seong-min (Democratic Party) and Kang Jeon-ae (People Power Party). That provocative mix helped the show rank first in new-subscriber contribution during its opening week. Political YouTuber Jung Young-jin, comedian Lee Yong-jin and singer-actress Ye-won round out the eight contestants, who are now engaged in a tense, high-stakes race to win the title through rigorous fact-checking duels.
Wavve’s original drama Reverse, set to debut April 17, is a mystery revenge thriller. After a blast at a chaebol family villa leaves Myeojin without her memories, she gradually regains them while pursuing the truth about her fiancé Junho’s secrets and the circumstances of the explosion. Starring Seo Ji-hye and Ko Soo, the series also features Kim Jae-kyung, Yoon Je-mun, Lim Won-hee, Choi Moo-sung and Shim Hyung-tak in strong supporting roles, raising expectations for the production.
◆Irresistible pairings — IU x Byeon Woo-seok in 21st Century Grand Lady → Shin Hye-sun x Gong Myung in Secret Audit
One of 2026’s most anticipated dramas, 21st Century Grand Lady, premieres April 10. MBC’s new Friday–Saturday series imagines a 21st-century constitutional monarchy in Korea and centers on a wealthy chaebol woman who, despite having everything, is legally a commoner, and a prince who, despite being the king’s son, has nothing. Their struggle to rewrite their fates drives this class-defying romance. The pairing of multi-hyphenate star IU (as Seong Hee-ju) and rising powerhouse Byeon Woo-seok (as Prince Ian) positions the series as a must-watch for 2026. Supporting roles include Roh Sang-hyun and Gong Seung-yeon, adding further star power.
Shin Hye-sun, who impressed audiences in Lady Dua, will showcase another transformation in Secret Audit, which premieres April 27 on tvN. The series follows chief auditor Joo In-a, who harbors a private past, and audit ace No Ki-jun, who is demoted and assigned to investigate workplace misconduct — a tense, close-quarters audit romance. Shin Hye-sun plays the tough-as-nails head auditor Joo In-a, while Gong Myung portrays the fallen ace No Ki-jun. Director Lee Soo-hyun (The Man Is a Black Dragon) teams up with writer Yeo Eun-ho (Ilta Scandal) and rom-com specialist Yang Hee-seung, promising a polished production.
Also streaming on Wavve is actor Ha Jung-woo’s long-awaited drama return, the suspense series How to Become a Building Owner in Korea, marking his first drama in 19 years.
◆Variety across genres — The Seasons: Seong Si-kyung’s Ear-Soothing Boyfriend → Our Neighborhood Baseball Captains
KBS’s live music project The Seasons — Seong Si-kyung’s Ear-Soothing Boyfriend premiered March 27. The Seasons introduced a seasonal MC format to late-night music talk shows on KBS, and Seong Si-kyung is the program’s ninth MC following 10cm’s run. The premiere featured singer Lee So-ra’s first TV appearance in six years, delivering a standout performance. Fans are eager to see the musical journey the show will chart with its new host.
KBS2’s Our Neighborhood Baseball Captains, which premieres April 12, is a sports-variety series that follows retired pro baseball stars as they scout and form U-10 youth teams in the hometowns of their former clubs, then compete in actual league matches. KBO legends Park Yong-taek, Lee Dae-ho, Kim Tae-kyun and Na Ji-wan take on managerial roles for the first time, scouting and developing young talent in Seoul, Busan, Chungcheong and Gwangju. Actor Kim Seung-woo, president of the Korea Little Baseball Association and a noted baseball advocate, and former player Lee Dae-hyung will provide commentary, while KBS N Sports announcer Lee Dong-geun anchors the broadcasts, bringing the Little KBO League to life.
Wavve’s breakout hit on E Channel, Brave Detectives, returned for season 5 on March 27. The series chronicles detectives’ case logs as they battle crime to protect public safety. Now in its fifth season, the show adds MCs Kwak Sun-young and Yoon Doo-joon, injecting fresh energy alongside An Jung-hwan and profiler Kwon Il-yong.
◆Tving originals now on Wavve — from Pyramid Game to Dear X
Beginning in April, Wavve will also carry Tving original dramas. New arrivals span webtoon adaptations and genre pieces across school stories and suspense: Pyramid Game, Dear X, Study Group, Ijae, Soon to Die, the adult historical Woo-ssi Empress and the supernatural thriller Goei. These additions broaden Wavve’s drama catalog and give viewers a wider range of choices.
