[Sports Today reporter Im Si-ryeong] Hwang Seok-hee, who became known as the translator for the films Deadpool and Spider-Man, has addressed allegations of sexual offenses.
On the 30th, Hwang said on his social media that he is currently reviewing the matter with his lawyer.
He added that if any reports contain false information, unverified claims, or statements that exceed the bounds of legal judgment, he will seek corrections and consider appropriate legal responses.
Earlier that morning, Dispatch reported that Hwang had been convicted of sex-related crimes—specifically, forcible sexual assault in 2005 and quasi-rape and illegal filming in 2014.
Meanwhile, Hwang married a dubbing translator in 2012 and the couple have children.
