A German individual, known as A, who previously exposed actor Lee Yi-kyung’s private life, has issued another statement, revealing ongoing cooperation with the Korean police investigation.

On the 10th, A took to social media to explain the reason for their previous silence, stating, “I have been cooperating with the Korean police investigation.” They added, “I’ve submitted all relevant materials in my possession and provided information about my identity to the investigative authorities.”

A further elaborated, “Given the challenges of entering Korea directly, I’m participating in the investigation remotely with the lead investigator. The process has been ongoing for over a month and is quite time-consuming.” They emphasized their commitment, saying, “Despite the time it may take, I will continue to cooperate diligently until the end. Once the investigation concludes, the identities of those involved will be clarified through the authorities.”

Last October, A, claiming to be German, used social media to expose Lee Yi-kyung’s private life. They shared alleged messages exchanged with Lee, along with on-set photos and selfies, claiming to have been victimized.

In response, Lee’s agency, Sangyoung ENT, warned of legal action against the spread of false information and malicious rumors. Subsequently, in November, Lee publicly shared his legal complaint and confirmed he had completed a complainant interview at Seoul’s Gangnam Police Station, pursuing charges of threats and defamation for spreading false information.

Interestingly, A has since changed their story, initially claiming the exposed content was AI-manipulated, then reverting to additional allegations. Lee’s team is currently pursuing legal action against A for defamation and threats under the Information and Communications Network Act, with authorities set to verify A’s identity and conduct further investigations.

Lee Yi-kyung, who debuted in 2012 with the film “White Night,” has since starred in popular dramas like “Go Back Couple,” “Welcome to Waikiki,” “The Crowned Clown,” “Secret Royal Inspector & Joy,” and “Marry My Husband,” as well as films such as “Confidential Assignment,” “Hitman: Agent Jun,” and “6/45.” He currently appears on the reality show “I Am Solo.”

Below is A’s full statement:

Hello, it’s been a while since I’ve reached out. I haven’t made any statements until now because I’ve been cooperating with the Korean police investigation.
I was concerned about potential negative consequences due to differences in Korean laws and procedures compared to other countries. However, after much deliberation, I decided to participate in the investigation to prove the truth of this incident.
I’ve submitted all relevant evidence in my possession and provided information about my identity to the investigative authorities. Given that I can’t visit Korea in person, I’m cooperating with the lead investigator remotely. The investigation has been ongoing for over a month and is taking considerable time.
Although it may be time-consuming, I’m committed to cooperating fully until the end and awaiting the results. I believe that once the investigation concludes, the identities of those involved will be clearly established through the authorities. The relevant communication records still exist, and the accounts used were indeed genuine.
I sincerely hope that the truth of this matter will come to light, even if it takes time.
