Travel agencies are widening their appeal with packages for every kind of traveler — from destination marathons and all-inclusive beach escapes to local Gangwon getaways and cruise-linked cycling trips.

Hana Tour has beefed up its lineup of overseas full-marathon trips to tap into the booming market for running-focused travel.

As more people lace up and blend sightseeing with jogging — the growing “run trip” trend — Hana Tour now pairs travel itineraries with entries to notable international marathons.

These packages give runners extra free time to rest, recover, and tailor schedules around race day. The four-day Okinawa Naha Marathon trip departing Dec. 5 is aimed at full-marathon entrants and includes a downtown Naha hotel just a five-minute walk from the start line.

The seven-day Istanbul Marathon package, departing Oct. 28, covers the one-of-a-kind route that crosses both Asia and Europe. Travelers can pick the full marathon or the 15.5 km option, and the tour arrives four days before the race to allow for proper acclimation. The four-day 2026 Shanghai Marathon package, departing Dec. 4, includes full-marathon entry and hotel lodging about 1 km from the start.

Yellow Balloon launched a “Club Med Phuket vs. Kabira” promotion aimed squarely at summer and family travelers — a side-by-side look at Club Med’s all-inclusive Phuket experience versus Kabira’s Okinawa-style charm to help families choose the right vibe.

Club Med’s all-inclusive model covers lodging, meals, alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks, activities, and kids’ programs. With dedicated kids’ clubs and age-specific programming, parents and children can each get the vacation they want. The ability to enjoy most daily activities right on the resort grounds appeals to families seeking a low-stress getaway.

Phuket suits travelers craving wide beaches, watersports, and lively Southeast Asian energy. Kabira leans into emerald-blue waters, peaceful, restorative vibes, and Japan’s characteristically reliable travel environment. Both destinations offer direct flights, which makes short itineraries feel effortless.

Yellow Balloon also teamed up with Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province to offer a themed one-night, two-day itinerary called the Gangwon Local Vibe Gamtan Road. The package targets travelers seeking authentic local experiences — regional culture, traditional markets, local food, and scenic nature.

The promotion features nine one-night, two-day routes focused on southern Gangwon hotspots like Jeongseon, Yeongwol, Samcheok, and Taebaek. With bus departures from Seoul, the tours reduce driving fatigue and let visitors efficiently visit key tourist sites and local gems.

Yellow Balloon diversified lodging and sightseeing options so travelers can choose based on their style and preferred areas. Each route blends landscapes, markets, local cuisine, and hands-on activities to highlight Gangwon’s local character and encourage longer stays. The company plans to use the campaign’s results to shape future domestic packages and local-content planning.

Modu Tour wrapped a Japan riding-themed tour in partnership with the ROSA Cycling Club. The six-day trip from May 21–26 drew 20 participants, including ROSA members, and used the PanStar Cruise Miracle to link Busan with Osaka and Wakayama.

Instead of air-focused cycling tours, this package used a cruise to make traveling with bikes easier. Participants stayed on board for the round-trip segments between Busan and Osaka, cutting transfer fatigue. After arriving in Osaka, riders explored coastal, urban, and mountain routes around Wakayama and the Kansai region.

Wakayama stood out as a riding destination thanks to easy access from Osaka and a mix of coastal roads, mountainous terrain, hot springs, culinary highlights, and historical sites. The itinerary showcased local flavors like Wakayama ramen, mikan (tangerines), and fresh seafood, plus relaxing onsen time. Modu Tour says it will expand themed products that combine cruises and riding based on the tour’s success.
