Busan held a kickoff briefing for the \”2026 Seven Bridge Tour\” at city hall on the 12th and officially began event preparations.
Set for Sept. 20, the ride links seven of Busan’s signature sea bridges, underpasses and tunnels into a single cycling circuit that participants complete by bike. It’s the country’s only large-scale, noncompetitive event of its kind.
Last year’s debut drew strong turnout and showed the tour’s potential as an international tourism attraction.
At the briefing, officials reviewed the basic event plan, traffic controls, safety measures and interagency coordination. They also explored strategies for recruiting overseas riders to grow and internationalize the event.
The city last month established a cooperative framework with the Korea Travel Association to promote and attract both domestic and international visitors.
