Discover the Sky184: Incheon’s New 184m High Observation Deck and Edge Walk Experience

The Sky184, the new attraction on Cheongna Sky Bridge connecting Incheon’s Cheongna International City and Yeongjong International City, has been a hot ticket since it opened. The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority began a phased opening of the bridge’s observation and experience spaces on the 7th.

Centered around a sky deck at 184 meters (about 605 ft), The Sky184 also features a rooftop viewing platform, a sea observatory, waterfront areas, and a traveler center. From the sky deck, you get sweeping views of the Incheon Sea and the skylines of Cheongna and Yeongjong.

According to the Incheon Tourism Organization, the sky deck that opened on the afternoon of the 7th had most slots booked for the afternoon of the 8th and for the weekend of the 9th and 10th. The deck runs 10 sessions a day with a maximum of 20 people per session. Popular time slots filled up fast for this month.

The edge-walk experience is set to start on the 15th. Participants will put on safety gear and walk along the outside of the bridge’s main tower at 184 meters. The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority says it will begin the edge-walk only after completing safety checks and trial runs.

The complex is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. A typical visit to the sky deck lasts about an hour, while the edge-walk experience takes around an hour and a half. Admission to the sky deck is 15,000 KRW (approximately $11.25), and the edge-walk — which includes sky deck access — costs 60,000 KRW (approximately $45.00). Incheon residents get a 50% discount.

The sea observatory, waterfront areas, and traveler center are free to use. The sky deck, sea observatory, and traveler center are closed every Monday, on January 1, and during Lunar New Year and Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving); the waterfront area remains open year-round.

The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority plans to roll out music performances, yoga and running programs, a seaside cinema, and nighttime media content in the waterfront area. Officials envision Cheongna Sky Bridge developing into more than just a lookout — a stay-and-play destination combining seaside walks, after-dark programming, and waterfront amenities.
