Hwasun County wrapped up the 10-day 2026 Spring Flower Festival after drawing crowds with its Instagram-ready nighttime attractions.
Hwasun County announced on April 30 that the festival, held along Kkotgang-gil (Flower River Road) and around Namsan Park in Hwasun-eup, ran from April 17 through April 26. The event was built around programs that let visitors enjoy the site both by day and at night.
By day, five themed gardens showcased roughly 30 species of flowering plants—nemophila, delphinium, and more—alongside sculptural installations. At night, landscape lighting, musical fountains, and photo zones combined to give the area a whole new vibe. The nighttime programming spread widely on social media and helped raise the festival’s profile.
Organizers also encouraged on-site spending. Booths sold local agricultural products, food trucks lined up, and a dedicated dining area was available. To balance visitor convenience with environmental care, officials kept prices stable and expanded the use of reusable containers.
Some areas will remain open after the festival ends. The county will keep the site open without special programs from April 27 through May 10 — 14 days — so visitors can continue to enjoy the spring blooms. Some food vendors will operate on a limited basis.
A county official said, “Offering both daytime and nighttime programming helped extend visitor stays. We plan to develop more stay-oriented programs tied to local tourism.”
