This offering is designed as a no-fly alternative for travelers trying to avoid the holiday scramble for plane tickets and steep airfare. It sails once on September 23, operating a 5-night, 6-day itinerary that departs Busan, calls at Shanghai, China, and Fukuoka, Japan, then returns to Busan.
Shanghai lets cruise passengers enter without a separate visa, which makes shore excursions easier. Fukuoka also offers fast, convenient connections between the port and downtown, so you can make the most of short port stays.
The voyage will use an ultra-large MSC cruise ship of about 170,000 tons. The ship spans 19 decks and has 2,217 cabins. Onboard amenities include multiple dining venues, outdoor pools, a spa, and a theater. With luggage staying onboard, the trip is especially convenient for families with young children and for those traveling with elderly parents, the company noted.
