[Herald Economy = Reporter Kim Myung-sang] Kensington Hotel & Resort, part of E-Land Park, is rolling out location-tailored barbecue stay packages through June 30 to tap into spring’s growing appetite for outdoor dining and short getaways.
The packages pair alfresco meals with overnight stays and are crafted around each property’s natural setting. Whether you’re near mountains, forests, or the sea, you’ll find options like glamping, rooftop grills, terrace setups, and pet-friendly experiences.
These offers are available at nine properties: three Kensington Hotels (Pyeongchang, Seorak, and Kent Hotel Gwangalli by Kensington) and six Kensington Resorts (Seorak Valley, Seorak Beach, Gapyeong, Chungju, Gyeongju, and Jirisan Namwon). Each package includes one night’s accommodation, a barbecue set for 2–4 people, and additional location-specific perks.
Kensington Hotel Pyeongchang presents the “Signature Glamping Barbecue.” Set inside the Kensington French Garden’s glamping area, the package includes one night’s stay, a glamping barbecue for two, access to the indoor pool and sauna for three (two adults and one child), and one food-and-beverage voucher. Prices start at 259,900 KRW (approximately $194.93).
Kensington Hotel Seorak debuts “Barbecue in Forest,” an outdoor barbecue experience that takes full advantage of views of Seorak Mountain. The package includes one night’s stay, a self-serve barbecue for two, and two cans of Kensington beer. Prices start at 199,900 KRW (approximately $149.93).
Kent Hotel Gwangalli by Kensington launches a “Rooftop Barbecue” package on its 15th-floor rooftop with ocean views. The offer includes one night’s stay and a rooftop barbecue for two. Guests who book via the official website and check out on a weekday receive one highball and a 12 PM late checkout. Prices start at 139,900 KRW (approximately $104.93).
Other properties have crafted their own twists: Kensington Resort Seorak Valley offers a “Terrace-in-Barbecue” using private-room terraces, Seorak Beach features an “Ocean Self Barbecue,” and Chungju provides a pet-friendly “Barbecue in Forest,” among other tailored packages.
A Kensington Hotel & Resort spokesperson said, “We launched location-specific barbecue packages so guests can enjoy spring outings and staycations together.”
