[iNews24 Reporter Kim Sang-jin] On March 29, Hampyeong County in South Jeolla Province announced that, to make getting to the 28th Hampyeong Butterfly Festival easier, some KTX Honam Line trains will temporarily stop at Hampyeong Station.
The temporary stops will run four times a day, primarily on weekends and holidays, from April 24–26 and May 1–5. The county hopes the schedule will encourage visitors from the Seoul metropolitan area to attend the festival.

Service times are: downbound at 8:20 a.m. and 10:32 a.m.; upbound at 4:06 p.m. and 6:19 p.m. The move is designed to handle increased visitor demand during the festival and to boost local tourism.
The county will also run free shuttle buses between Hampyeong Station and the festival grounds, timed to KTX arrivals and departures, to make travel easier for attendees.
A county official said, “We’ll continue looking for ways to make visiting the Butterfly Festival more convenient.”
