T’way Air (091810) is making waves in the travel industry! On the 10th, they announced the launch of flight reservations for their groundbreaking Incheon-Jakarta route, becoming the first South Korean low-cost carrier (LCC) to offer this exciting destination.
Get ready for takeoff! Starting April 29, T’way Air will be jetting off to Jakarta five times a week – on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. They’re not skimping on comfort either, with a spacious A330-300 aircraft boasting 347 seats, including 12 luxurious business class spots and 335 economy seats for the budget-conscious traveler.
Pack your bags for a 7-hour and 10-minute adventure! Flights will depart from Incheon International Airport at 3:10 PM, touching down at Jakarta’s Soekarno-Hatta International Airport at 8:10 PM local time. For the return trip, night owls can catch the 9:50 PM flight from Jakarta, arriving fresh-faced in Incheon at 7:05 AM the next day.
This new route comes hot on the heels of a major airline shakeup. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Fair Trade Commission recently announced their picks for alternative airlines on six international routes, addressing monopoly concerns after the Korean Air and Asiana Airlines merger. In a fierce competition that included Jeju Air, Eastar Jet, and Air Premia, T’way Air emerged victorious for the coveted Incheon-Jakarta route.
A T’way Air spokesperson couldn’t contain their excitement, saying, “We’re thrilled to open up the Incheon-Jakarta route, making it easier than ever to explore the vibrant cities of Southeast Asia. Rest assured, we’re committed to keeping you safe and comfortable every step of the way!”
