[SPOTV News=Gwangju, Reporter Kwak Hye-mi] The semifinal between Daegu Namdo Elementary and Seoul Gadong Elementary in the 3rd Presidential Cup National Youth Baseball Tournament was played on the morning of May 14 at Gwangju’s Mudeung Baseball Stadium.
In the top of the first inning, Kwon Do-yeop of Daegu Namdo Elementary laced a single.
The Korea Baseball Softball Association (KBSA), led by President Yang Hae-young, is hosting the 3rd Presidential Cup, with the Gwangju Metropolitan City Baseball Softball Association serving as co-organizer. The tournament opened May 5 at Mudeung Baseball Stadium.
The event runs for 11 days, concluding on May 15. Top “champion-of-champions” teams—elementary schools and youth club squads that posted strong results last year—have converged from across the country to compete for the title of the nation’s top youth baseball program.
