The 2026 ONE Super Race Championship, sponsored by CJ Logistics, kicked off April 18 at Everland Speedway in Yongin, South Korea. At the season opener, Kumho SLM’s Lee Chang-wook dominated both qualifying and the Toyota Gazoo Racing 6000 race to claim the victory.

Lee posted a 1:52.624 in qualifying — the only driver in the 1:52 bracket — to lock down pole position. He led from the start in the final, steadily pulling away and stretching his advantage over the runner-up to 26.359 seconds before taking the checkered flag.
Teammate Lee Jung-woo finished second, giving Kumho SLM a 1-2 result in the opener. Hwang Jin-woo of Junpitted Racing crossed the line third but was hit with a five-second penalty for repeated track-limit violations, which dropped him to fifth. That promoted Jang Hyun-jin of Seohan GP to the final podium spot, while Jung Eui-chul of ONE Racing took fourth.
From the back of the grid, Kim Hwa-rang and Mikey Jordan made strong recovery drives to finish ninth and 10th, respectively. Meanwhile, Seo Joo-won battled Park Seok-chan in the midpack, and Jung Kyung-hoon retired to the pits with a mechanical issue.

At the postrace press conference, Lee credited his team and Kumho Tire for their preparation and said his goal for every round is to win. He acknowledged late-race tire degradation as a shortcoming and said the team will refine the car’s setup to deliver better performance in future races.
Second-place finisher Lee Jung-woo praised Lee’s sprint speed and pledged to close the gap within a few events. Third-place Jang Hyun-jin said he shifted to a pace-management strategy after the opening laps, which helped secure his spot on the podium.
The series returns for round two on April 19 at Everland Speedway. Organizers said fans who can’t attend can watch live: KBS2 will broadcast the Toyota Gazoo Racing 6000 class, ENA SPORTS will carry the Alpine and Prius PHEV classes, and live streams will be available on YouTube, Chijijik, SOOP, and TVING. tvN SPORTS will air recorded coverage of the 6000, GTA, and GTB classes, with replays available on TVING and WAVVE.
