[Sports Today reporter Lee Sang-pil] The Doosan Bears and KIA Tigers played to a scoreless draw after a tightly contested pitchers’ duel.
Doosan and KIA finished 0-0 on March 22 at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul in a 2026 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League exhibition game.
Exhibition games do not go to extra innings if the score is tied after nine innings.
Doosan remained second in the exhibition standings at 6-1-3, 1.5 games behind the Lotte Giants (7-2-1).
KIA posted a 3-2-5 record.
Offensively, Kim Min-seok was the only Doosan player to record a hit, finishing with two; the rest of the lineup was held hitless. Starter Flexen was sharp, throwing five scoreless innings while allowing three hits, issuing one walk and striking out five. Lee Byung-hun, Choi Ji-kang, Tamura and Kim Taek-yeon each worked a scoreless inning in relief.
KIA starter Hwang Dong-ha also turned in a strong outing, going five shutout innings, giving up one hit and issuing four walks. Lee Hyung-beom, Lee Tae-yang, Kim Si-hoon and Jo Sang-woo each threw a scoreless inning out of the bullpen.
Pitching dominated throughout. Flexen and Hwang held the opposing lineups scoreless through five innings.
Both teams turned to their bullpens after the sixth, and the relievers kept the game scoreless, preserving the 0-0 stalemate. The game ended in a 0-0 tie.
Meanwhile, 23,285 fans attended the game at Jamsil — the largest crowd for a Doosan home exhibition game.
