The K League is set to kick off its new season with the ‘Hana Bank K League 2026 Media Day’ on Saturday, February 28, announcing the start of the season to media and fans.
The K League 1 Media Day will take place on Wednesday, February 25, at 11 a.m., while the K League 2 Media Day is scheduled for the same day at 3 p.m. Both events will be held at the Swiss Grand Hotel Convention Center in Seoul’s Seodaemun district.
Veteran announcer Lee Kwang-yong will host the K League 1 Media Day, where coaches and key players from all 12 top-tier teams will share their goals and strategies for the upcoming season.

For the K League 2 Media Day, announcer So Jun-il will take the helm, bringing together coaches from all 17 second-tier teams. This event will feature a unique talk format focusing on opening game matchups, allowing coaches to discuss their season objectives and promotion aspirations without player representatives present.
This year’s Media Day will welcome 200 lucky fans selected through a pre-event draw, continuing the K League’s tradition of fan involvement to amplify the excitement surrounding the new season.
Selected fans will enjoy exclusive perks, including access to the Media Day events and fan photo sessions. Supporters interested in attending can apply through the K League’s official Instagram profile link or the Kick app. Detailed application instructions are available on the K League’s official social media channels.
A highlight of this year’s Media Day will be the premiere of the official intro videos for both K League 1 and K League 2 for the 2026 season. These cutting-edge videos, created using generative AI technology, promise to capture the league’s dynamic energy and fan passion through stunning visuals. The official intro will be featured in K League broadcast openings throughout the season.
