Workers at Samsung Biologics returned to work today (June 6), but the union said it will continue a work-to-rule campaign for the foreseeable future. According to the Samsung Biologics Sangsaeng branch of the Samsung Group cross-company union, about 2,800 of roughly 4,000 union members participated in the strike that ran from June 1 through June 5. Until now, members had taken weekday annual leave and avoided holiday shifts; going forward, they plan to sustain an indefinite work-to-rule campaign by refusing overtime and holiday work. The union said it will adhere strictly to company regulations, while management pushed back, warning that if essential personnel respond passively during emergencies, the resulting damage could be greater. #SamsungBiologics Yonhap News TV For inquiries and tips: KakaoTalk/Line jebo23 Choi Deok-jae (DJY@yna.co.kr)
